Tip #1 - Shop Around for a Fuel Efficient Vehicle

For highway driving especially, rolling up your windows will yield up to 10% fuel efficiency by decreasing drag and rolling resistance.
Tip #7 - Keep Your Cool
Don’t overuse your vehicle’s air-conditioning (or defrost, for that matter). Every time you turn on the AC, you are placing more load on the vehicle’s engine, which can cost you up to 20% in fuel mileage.
Tip #8 - Stay Inflated
Check your tire pressure frequently to make sure tires are inflated to manufacturer’s recommended levels. A tire under inflated by even 2 PSI decreases fuel mileage by 1%.
Tip #9 - Go Easy With Your Brake n’ Speed
Slow, steady braking and acceleration may yield as much as 20% increase in fuel mileage. Also, reduce aerodynamic drag – and subsequently increase fuel mileage – by avoiding high speed driving. Even a 13 mph decrease in speed can yield a 15% increase in fuel mileage.
